Shalom, peace of God be with us all,

Congregation who loved the Lord Jesus, every day of the week we come to worship at the house of the Lord faithfully. Indeed, worship is a very important thing for us, but worship with the right attitude is far more important. Ecclesiastes 4:17 says: "Guard your steps, if you walk into the house of God! Draw near to listen is better than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil."

From the above verses there are 3 things that need our attention when we come to worship in the house of God:

     1.  Keep your ways, if you go to the house of God!.
It means we have to come up with the true intent and purpose. We come to worship because they want to meet with God and to glorify His name. So come with full preparation and readiness of the right heart, right from home, our hearts must be rough to get visitation of God, so that our worship will truly be a meaningful worship.
     2.  Draw near to listen is better
Like Mary who sat quietly at the feet of the Lord and listen to the teaching of good word of the Lord Jesus (Read Luke 10:38-42). God better appreciate the commendable attitude of Mary who prefer to give ears to hear the word of God than Martha is busy with his own show. This is the attitude of a true disciple of Jesus, sit quietly and listen attentively when the word of God is preached. We need to learn to respect the word of God is delivered, not going in and out of worship that only disturb the concentration of the other members of the church of God.
     3.  Offerings
God repeatedly rebuked Israel who consider or regard sacrifice in worship is trivial. Similarly, God will see it as a foolish or careless when we think of "offerings" that we give to God only complement the needs of the church. Give the best offerings to God and God will surely reward him with something better.

May God help us all, Amen
